    Free Shopping Carts

I have been using the ZEN cart for a few years,. and as a result my sight was hacked, and taken down by the hosting company. Sadly I was finally getting popular, and now I will be starting from square one. So my question is, is there a better free shopping cart out there that is as easy or easier than ZEN CART? Thanks...

I like the standard old OsCommerce myself. Modules are not hard to add, and it can be fully customized. I have only used zen once but it was not bad at all. Keep in mind any website can be hacked. In the US hacking a website is actually a crime.

Why did your site get shut down because of Zen? Because its insecure?

I personally would just use Paypal's shopping cart system, though I'm no expert because I don't sell anything at present.

Why do you want a free cart? If you're selling stuff you should have enough money for a paid one, lol.

OpenCart is known to have security issues, so avoid it. My web host recommends CafeCommerce, you even get a discount if you happen to have an account with them (DreamHost).

I know it is after the fact, but it would seem that you should not have been penalized for something perpetrated by cyberthieves. Would there not be some knd of appeal process to the company? It really does not seem fair, as a practice in business.

Hi, I was recommended zen cart too. Hacking can come from anywhere, could be your isp security, your sites main language or the shopping cart itself. I am using virtue mart as a free shopping cart and its easy to set up.

I have set up a site which has been using a free cart software since it started and never had problems with it. Though you have to know that you are going to work with a lot of limits here.

Though those limits are generally easy to keep up with, because you can heart your software to use it efficiently. That way, you can save on what you could be spending on subscribing to a paid cart service.

i'm using Magento shopping cart, its secured, efficient and most of all easy to use. the upgrade version of Magento is X.commerce.

so, it would be better for you if you switch over Magento and start rolling like the other merchants.

Zeuscart is the best free open source shopping cart software to create your store.
